Why do Seydel Session Steels get a bad rap?

Hi,

I visited a local store yesterday and the guy tried to sell me on a Session Steel. He insists they are much higher quality than Hohner Special 20. Yet, I often read reviews that say to avoid the Session Steels and it’s better to pay the extra for the 1847 Classic, if going with Seydel.

Why do many people not like the Session Steels?

Session Steels play different than other brands. The reeds offer more resistance and can be harder to play.
