I never tried one of the higher-end Seydels, but the one Seydel I do have (a key of B Session Steel, which has the same reeds as the 1847 family) plays very well. You might need to widen your embouchre to play them as the holes are generally big on all of the Seydel models and practice deep breathing to get those bends to sound. Its holes are slightly larger than the Hohner Golden Melodies that I typically play and it also has an black aluminium comb. Other people have experienced gapping issues with the higher end Seydels, but it wasn’t the case for me.
