Some of my harps. This case is the one I’m currently playing out of. I’ve got two others. I mostly play the Lee Oskars and the Suzuki Bluesmasters. I find them both very comfortable. I was just pokin’ around the forum, found this topic and wanted to participate so I snapped a quick photo.
I’ve got a Peavey and a Crate amp. I use Shure mics exclusively. SM-57’s, 58’s, and a 520.

This is what I have at present.

Now the reason for all the repeats

Over the last 20+ years I have tried to learn to play, sometimes whilst abroad travelling for a long time Sometimes interstate, So when I have been away I bought a Harp here and there. So 5 C harps and 2 A harps. The A harps were bought with the vision of following Jerry Portnoy’s Master Class, in which he recommends an A. The BlueStar is an off brand Hohner Silver Star.
The Blues Harp was a present from my wife 25ish years ago. I’ve never really liked the mouth feel of it.

Can’t go wrong with Jerry Portnoy

I found a nice Echo Harp in the thrift store glass cabinet for $29. Love it, was going to get the 2X32 in late 2023 but held off because of the price. I like the 20 holes wide configuration of this one because each 4 hole square basically corresponds to the same as diatonic 10 holes so I can play off the same tabs. Whoever owned it before took good care of it, still in tune and only one reed on the high end of the G side is stuck (so I just get a normal single note without tremolo). I love the form factor of these flat double siders too, I often just hold it in my hand for fun.

Good find. I have one of those & it’s great fun. I’d not have gone out & bought it for myself, but when I started learning diatonic my wife had a hankering for a harmonica like the one she’d bought on a trip to Germany in the 60’s & taught herself to play. However, she found that her now somewhat older lips didn’t get on well with it so it was offered to me & who was I to refuse.

@sheen.chan welcome to the forum! Wow that’s a great pic. You’ve got some beautiful mics!!

@sheen.chan The lighting is perfect for the mics. I can see the club and hear them already. Tell the drummer to use his brushes.

I sold the Epi to a string slinger who needed a small tube amp. EL84’s don’t do it for me and I prefer the big bottle 6V6 or 6L6 power tubes. I sold my Blues Junior for the same reason. To “fizzy”. However I also added a Supro Delta King 8 which is powered by a single 12AU7. It’s 1 watt and perfect for small jams or gigs with no drummer. The tweed is not a Bassman. It’s a 60watt ’ 93 Blues Deville. When you absolutely, positively have to be the loudest guy in the band and have to compete with Marshall stacks, its good to have the right tool! LOL At 60+ lbs though, she may be up on Craigslist sooner than later.

The Epi Jr is a great harp amp! It served me well for quite a while. I just didn’t need it anymore and my friend the guitar player did. I wish I’d kept it now. Cheers!
