Sonny Junior II Amp

@Luke

You mean this amp. Fender Pro Junior (tube) - musical instruments - by owner - sale - craigslist

I found this on YouTube when you first asked about the Pro Junior. Does this video answer your questions despite being a guitar video?

Honeyboy,
From the outset I got that you are a huge fan of Gary and SJ amps. Enjoy your SJ’s and promoting Gary Onofrio. Sorry you were offended but I don’t share your opinions.

@BnT I am not offended. And I appreciated your DM describing your experience with Sonny Junior. I was open minded.

But you weren’t telling the truth on this public forum. I thought it would be a good thing to expose your false dramatizations, especially since Sonny Junior isn’t here to defend himself and also because your story starts out with a mistruth about a bad deal on a Cruncher in 2001.

Crunchers weren’t even developed until 2005. So, if you falsely dramatized that aspect of your story, i wondered what other facts of yours were false. I attempted to expose those other issues as well.

First off, why try to adversely affect someone’s personal business and also try to dissuade up and coming players from buying Sonny Junior amps? Your bad experience happened 20 years ago. I know we live in a petty world but you strike me as someone who generally rises above such petty behavior. And lots of players better than you and I still play through Sonny Junior amps.

More importantly you are behaving in a manor that could be described as libelous while at the same time not allowing the object of your scorn to defend himself. And you are doing this on a public forum. I provided Gary’s number and email above. Why not call him and work this out rather than taking this acrimonious path?

Finally, I have no absolute love for Sonny Junior or Sonny Junior amps, but I do have an absolute love of defending someone who is not allowed to defend themselves. Call me old fashioned if you like, but calling me offended appears to be an act of projection on your part.

Best Regards @BnT .

Honeyboy –
You know this isn’t worth discussing. I sold mine, took a loss, and moved on. I found other amps that gave me what I wanted and I have no need or reason to contact Gary.

Whatever the year, it was a Cruncher. I had a negative experience with the amp, a bad resale experience due to SJs arbitrary price fluctuations, and negative feedback from at least a half dozen people (after my experience) who had owned SJs. That’s fact, not libelous.

It was 20 years ago. Maybe everything has changed for the better. I hope so for potential buyers. Glad you like the product line.
